Advising Rodger Young Limited on the development of 22 units of 3 and 4-bedroom Maisonettes on eight floors in Ikoyi, Lagos valued at over N50 Billion under a joint venture arrangement.

Advising Crawthorne Projects Limited a real estate development company on the development of 20 units of 4-Bedroom Terrace Houses and 56 units of 3-Bedroom Terrace Houses in Victoria Island, Lagos under a joint venture arrangement.

Advising Yazeba Ltd on a joint venture transaction valued at N20 Billion in respect of the physical development of a 2,649.191 square metres parcel of land located in a prime area in Lagos State into 23 units of state-of-the-art residential apartments. We advised the Developer on the setting up of the joint venture; the negotiation of the rights and obligations of the parties, the legal issues arising with respect to the development of the project, fund raising for the project, and prepared the requisite project documents. We also had to negotiate and settle the documentation of several other project participants, such as architects, contractors etc. In addition, we are advising the Client on fund raising for the project to the tune of circa US$ 8 Million by way of debt and/or equity.

Advised Rhombus 24 Services Limited on a joint venture transaction valued at N400 Million in respect of the physical development of a 1292.486 square metres parcel of land located in the Ilupeju area of Lagos State into 12 units of upscale residential apartments. We advised the developer on the setting up of the joint venture, the negotiation of the rights and obligations of the parties, and the legal issues arising with respect to the development of the project and prepared the requisite project documents

Advised on a joint venture transaction valued at N2 Billion Million in respect of the physical development of a 909.061 square metres parcel of land located in Lekki, Lagos State into 4 units of luxury residential apartments. We advised the Landowner on the setting up of the joint venture, the negotiation of the rights and obligations of the parties, and the legal issues arising with respect to the development of the project and prepared the requisite project documents.

Advising a company on the financing of a real estate joint venture development, escrow and fund management arrangements amongst the parties. We acted as transaction solicitors and more specifically liaised with a foremost trust company in respect of its financing, escrow and fund management roles in the transaction. As part of our scope of work, we reviewed the Joint Venture Development Agreement, prepared and negotiated the Escrow Agreement and Fund Management Agreement in furtherance of the transaction.

Advised a development company with respect to the financing of its upscale residential construction project. We advised on the structure of the deal, prepared the transaction documents including the Sale and Buy Back Agreement and the Deeds of Assignment and advised on the various legal issues arising with respect to the transaction.

Advised an investor in respect of the investment in a construction retail project in a prime location in Lagos State in consideration for minority shareholding interest in the sponsor’s company and a stake in the project returns.
